Adobe has released security updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in its software, including Adobe Acrobat and Reader, Adobe Photoshop, and others for Windows and macOS.

Affected Systems

The following system versions are known to be affected but not limited to:

• Adobe Acrobat DC & Acrobat Reader DC: version 24.003.20054 and earlier (Windows), 24.002.21005 and earlier (macOS).

• Adobe Acrobat 2020 and Acrobat Reader 2020: 20.005.30655 and earlier versions on both Windows and macOS.

• Adobe Acrobat 2024: 24.001.30159 and earlier versions for Windows and macOS.

• Adobe Photoshop 2023: 24.7.4 and earlier versions  & Adobe Photoshop 2024: 25.11 and earlier versions on bothWindows and macOS.

Security Risks

The identified vulnerabilities in Adobe software, if successfully exploited, could grant an attacker control over affected systems, enabling them to execute malicious activities.  

Recommended Actions

The National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) recommends users and system administrators to:

1. Upgrade to the latest supported version of the installed software as soon as possible to ensure continued access to technical support and security patches.

The recommended software versions to upgrade to are as follows, but not limited to:

• Adobe Acrobat DC & Acrobat Reader DC: version 24.003.20112 for Windows and MacOS

• Adobe Acrobat 2020 and Acrobat Reader 2020: version 20.005.30680 for Windows and macOS.

• Adobe Acrobat 2024: version 24.001.30187 for Windows and macOS.

• Adobe Photoshop 2023: version 24.7.5  & Adobe Photoshop 2024: version 25.12 for Windows and macOS.

2. Before performing any update tasks, ensure that you have a backup of your data.

3. Ensure that all employees in their organization understand the significance of installing security updates and keeping their software up to date.
