Apple has released urgent security updates to address a vulnerability affecting multiple products, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, VisionOS, and Safari. These updates fix several security vulnerabilities that could allow a cyber threat actor to gain unauthorized access to systems or obtain sensitive information.

Security Risks

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability empowers an attacker to gain control over an affected device by exploiting its identified weaknesses.

Recommended Actions

The National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) recommends users and system administrators to:

1. Upgrade, as soon as possible, to the latest supported version of installed Apple software in order to continue receiving technical support and security patches.

The following software versions are available for upgrade, including but not limited to:

• iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3: iPhone 11 and later, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd generation and later, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 8th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later.

• iOS 18.7.5 and iPadOS 18.7.5: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and iPad 7th generation

• macOS Tahoe 26.3: for macOS Tahoe

• macOS Sequoia 15.7.4: for macOS Sequoia.

• macOS Sonoma 14.8.4: macOS Sonoma.

• watchOS 26.3: Apple Watch Series 6 and later.

• VisionOS 26.3: Apple Vision Pro (all models).

• tvOS 26.3: Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K (all models).

• Safari 26.3: macOS Sonoma and macOS Sequoia.

2. Enable background updates or automatic updates
