Description

Apple has released security updates to address vulnerabilities found in multiple Apple products. Apple products’ users are at a high risk of malicious actors exploiting identified vulnerabilities in unpatched Apple software.

This month's Apple security updates release include:

• MacOS Big Sur 11.5

• Security Update 2021-004 Catalina

• Security Update 2021-005 Mojave

• iPadOS 14.7

Recommendation

The National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) strongly recommends users and IT administrators to:

• Apply the latest security patches for software on all Apple devices as soon as possible.

• Download software only from the App Store for all updates and from Microsoft Store for iCloud for Windows update respectively

Note that once a software update is installed for iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS, it cannot be downgraded to the previous version.
