NCSA alongside the Ministry of ICT and Innovation (MINICT), Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA), National Child Development Agency (NCDA), MTN Rwanda, and UNICEF Rwanda, joined hundreds of residents at Kigali Car Free Day on Sunday, 22 February 2026, to celebrate Safer Internet Month.

The event, organized by the City of Kigali, brought together families, youth, and partners for a morning of physical activities and public engagement. During the event, the organizations participated in the sport activities and distributed informational flyers to participants, sharing practical tips and best practices on how to protect children online.

This activity was part of the broader Safer Internet Month campaign, through which partners conducted a series of awareness initiatives throughout February. The campaign focused on promoting child online protection through media outreach and community engagement activities.

Together, the partners reaffirmed their shared commitment to safeguarding children in the digital space and promoting a safe, responsible, and inclusive online environment for all.
