On March 2nd 2023 Rwanda, represented by the National Cyber Security Authority and Mozambique, represented by The National Institute of Information & Communication Technologies, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on collaboration in Cybersecurity and Data Protection. 

Amongst other areas of collaboration, this MoU will enable Rwanda and Mozambique to benefit from mutual legal assistance in the fields of cybersecurity and data protection. 

The MoU signing took place on the sidelines of the 2023 FIRST and AfricaCERT Symposium for cybersecurity practitioners from Africa and the Arab regions, and is the result of a 10-day working visit from the Mozambique delegation to discuss bilateral cooperation in cybersecurity & data protection.
