The 2025 Africa Cyber Defense Forum kicked off in Kigali with the National Cyberlympics finals, a thrilling r online competition designed to test the brightest young minds in cybersecurity.

Over 35 students from Rwanda battled through real-world cyber defense challenges, working in teams to solve complex scenarios in virtual labs that demanded technical skill, creativity, and strong teamwork.

After intense rounds, the top honors went to three outstanding teams—all from the Rwanda Coding Academy (RCA):

The National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) officiated the awards ceremony, celebrating not only the winners but every participant who showcased their potential as Rwanda’s future cyber defenders.

This year’s Cyberlympics once again highlighted the importance of nurturing local talent and strengthening Africa’s cyber resilience.
