Apple has released security updates for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS addressing vulnerabilities that may affect the security of impacted devices.

Security Risks

The identified vulnerabilities could be exploited by attackers to gain unauthorized access, execute malicious code, or compromise affected devices, potentially leading to data exposure and system disruption.

Recommended Actions

The National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) recommends users and system administrators to:

1. Upgrade, as soon as possible, to the latest supported version of installed Apple software in order to continue receiving technical support and security patches.

The following software versions are available for upgrade, including but not limited to:

• iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5: iPhone 11 and later, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd generation and later, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 8th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later.

• iOS 18.7.9 and iPadOS 18.7.9: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPad 7th generation.

• iOS 16.7.16 and iPadOS 16.7.16: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPad 5th generation, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, and iPad Pro 12.9-inch 1st generation.

• tvOS 26.5: Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K (all model

• macOS Tahoe 26.5: macOS Tahoe

• visionOS 26.5: Apple Vision Pro (all models)

• watchOS 26.5: Apple Watch Series 6 and later

• macOS Sequoia: 15.7.7 macOS Sequoia

• macOS Sonoma:14.8.7 macOS Sonoma

2. Enable background updates or automatic updates
